One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Helpful Titan. Helpful Wolf ended up behind the leader. Kopniaeff got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. This is the positions after 500m. Helpful Wolf, Bad News, Duquesne Whistle, Helpful Titan, Strong Asteroid, Baresi, Kopniaeff, Fast Man. Bad News sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Bad News was still in the lead after 1500m. Strong Asteroid galloped for 40 m. Bad News sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Anders Göstasson tried a little too much on the homestretch and Helpful Wolf started to galopp and lost 20 m. Kopniaeff won. Bad News came in second. Helpful Titan caught third place. Results
