One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Barbarian found a gap and took the lead. Minette Du Lilas followed before Punghen.




Il Ya Longtemps quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Barbarian sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Il Ya Longtemps was disturbed and galoped 20 m.




Punghen looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Barbarian suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






No-one could catch Barbarian today who won before Punghen and Minette Du Lilas.
