The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Giggling Starshine was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Boy Back Home was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.




Giggling Starshine was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




Contadino took the lead after 1000m. Giggling Starshine didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Contadino followed by Giggling Starshine and Advanced Stereo. Lane two Boy Back Home followed by Adventurous Gladiator and .



Contadino kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Giggling Starshine sprinted over the finishline before Boy Back Home and Contadino.
