One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Cosmo Duff Gordon found a gap and took the lead. Sunday Flower followed before Tranquil Ruby.




Ursprünglich Aufgabe saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Tranquil Ruby took the lead after 1000m. Ursprünglich Aufgabe didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Tranquil Ruby followed by Cosmo Duff Gordon and Why Sheep. Lane two Ursprünglich Aufgabe followed by L'Étoile Mystérieuse and Sunday Flower. Sunday Flower started to gallop after 1500m and Daniel Wikberg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Tranquil Ruby kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Sunday Flower won the race after a spectacular finish.
