One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Rocking Bullet found a gap and took the lead. Melbourne Night Prowler followed before Elegant Cup.




Barefoot Candy quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




The leader got disturbed by something and Rocking Bullet took the lead rather easily. Elegant Cup galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Rocking Bullet followed by Zibalnik and Portable General. Lane two Melbourne Night Prowler followed by Elegant Cup and Barefoot Candy. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Barefoot Cookie gallopped for 20 m. Barefoot Candy galloped way to long and was disqualified.



Rocking Bullet looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Melbourne Night Prowler made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Rocking Bullet.
