One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Voor Stuk Grond could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Voor Stuk Grond followed by Snoes and Sikre Jeres. Lane two Ticking Lilac followed by Some Medical Terms and Glorious Top.



Ticking Lilac suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Voor Stuk Grond was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Sikre Jeres galopped for 10 m on the homestretch.




Snoes never caught up with Ticking Lilac who won. Glorious Top came third.
