The weather had been good all week and Axevalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Pink Top was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Calming Mustache quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Miss Hobo Lady accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Miss Hobo Lady sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Très Important sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
