One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Paint Box sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. driver couldn't keep Virtueel Ruit to trotting so they were disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Purple Madness, Honourable Hyena, Exotic Addiction, Zapi Max, Pretty Meadow, Star Control, Paint Box, Laxviks Alf.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Purple Madness followed by Zapi Max and Honourable Hyena. Lane two Paint Box followed by Pretty Meadow and Carlos Faxe.

Paint Box put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Purple Madness was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. With only a little left of the race Virtueel Ruit galoped for 50 m. Paint Box were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Pretty Meadow never caught up with Paint Box who won. Honourable Hyena came third.
