The weather had been good all week and Gävle was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Drooling Box. Close Boy ended up behind the leader. Vrouw Universum got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Close Boy quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Close Boy clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Bonfire Momentum saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.



Bonfire Momentum showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Vrouw Universum speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Vrouw Universum didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
