One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Le Poignard sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Running Tiger started to galop and lost 40 m. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Giant Superman was disturbed and galoped 30 m. Faustkeil started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Le Poignard today. It continued in the lead. Giant Superman suddenly took over the lead. Faustkeil gallopped 40 m after 2000m. Giant Superman were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Faustkeil galop. Faustkeil lost 30 m. Giant Superman kept the speed the whole finish and won before Le Poignard and Black Blizzard.
