It had been raining for several days at Lahti but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Long Way Home took the lead after a very quick start.




Modest Temptress quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Modest Temptress clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Modest Temptress was still in the lead after 1500m.



With only a little left of the race Croccante galoped for 30 m. Modest Temptress looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Winner of todays race was Modest Temptress. Long Way Home came in second. Taboca Chick became third.
