One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Purple Thought could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Backstabbing Ballerina quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Tamara took the lead after 1000m. Backstabbing Ballerina didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Backstabbing Ballerina accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Backstabbing Ballerina kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Purple Thought never caught up with Backstabbing Ballerina who won. Tamara came third.
