One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sneaking Spring took the lead after a very quick start. Pointing Diamond was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Sneaky Crusher, Sneaking Spring, Space Champion, Roman Empire, Criterion, Max Tank, Cool Cat, Mighty Deliver.

Sneaking Spring looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Space Champion couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sneaky Crusher.

Sneaky Crusher was still in the lead after 1500m.

Sneaking Spring put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Sneaking Spring kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Republicain to trotting so they were disqualified.

Space Champion never caught up with Sneaking Spring who won. Sneaky Crusher came third.
