The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Halmstad this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Shy Beard tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Rhythm Fortification that came steaming ahead.

This is the positions after 500m. Hot Rod Harry, The Hunter, Calming Boulder, Carlos Xante, Loving Lieutenant, Shy Beard, Rhythm Fortification, Strong Crusher.

The Hunter took the lead after 1000m. Carlos Xante didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Spirito Di Amore was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one The Hunter followed by Calming Boulder and Shy Beard. Lane two Carlos Xante followed by Rhythm Fortification and Hot Rod Harry.

The Hunter kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Rhythm Fortification sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
