One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Blue Thinking tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Courageous Movement that came steaming ahead.




This is the positions after 500m. Butternut, Blue Thinking, Red Pie, Ivanhoe C.C., Courageous Movement, , , . A bird flew just in front of Courageous Movement who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Butternut was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Red Pie was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Butternut today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Ivanhoe C.C. gallopped for 50 m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Red Pie gallopped for 20 m.



With only a little left of the race Ivanhoe C.C. galoped for 50 m. Blue Thinking was first on the homestretch followed by Butternut and Courageous Movement.






Blue Thinking kept the speed the whole finish and won before Courageous Movement and Butternut.
