It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Criminal Fiddler found a gap and took the lead. Tempting Nugget followed before Pink Witch.

Tempting Nugget quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Pink Witch started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Criminal Blossom sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Tempting Nugget accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Criminal Fiddler gallopped for 20 m.

Criminal Fiddler speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Tempting Nugget won the race after a spectacular finish.
