One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Loving Pirate tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Sad Band that came steaming ahead. Harri Koivunen wanted a little to much in the start and Sooner Or Later galoped for 30 m.

Sad Band was in fine shape and held the lead.

Loving Pirate sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Loving Pirate followed by Sooner Or Later and . Lane two Sad Band followed by Lost For Words and . Something caused a disturbance in the field and Lost For Words gallopped for 20 m.

With only a little left of the race Sooner Or Later galoped for 10 m. Sad Band was first on the homestretch followed by Loving Pirate and Sooner Or Later.

Sad Band didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
