The weather had been good all week and Oviken was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Going Crown took the lead after a very quick start.

Strong Band sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Strong Band was still in the lead after 1500m.

Strong Band were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Rumbling Pirate won the race after a spectacular finish.
