The weather had been good all week and Drammen was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Samurai Hoof took the lead after a very quick start. When the startcar left the field Comfortable Sergeant started to galop and lost 40 m. Powerful Mountain suddenly started to galop. Thor Borg had to struggle to get Powerful Mountain to tror again and succeded after 40 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Comfortable Sergeant, Powerful Mountain, Terre De Mistral, Lacombe Lucien, Samurai Hoof, , , .

Comfortable Sergeant clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

With only a little left of the race Comfortable Sergeant galoped for 50 m. Powerful Mountain clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Terre De Mistral made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Samurai Hoof.
