One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
In A Tree sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.
This is the positions after 500m. Purple Thought, Vertelsel, In A Tree, Pretty Fall, Ticking Diva, Silver Doll, Expensive Doll, .
Purple Thought clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one Purple Thought followed by In A Tree and Silver Doll. Lane two Pretty Fall followed by Vertelsel and Ticking Diva.
Purple Thought kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Vertelsel was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.
Pretty Fall sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
