One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Flower Ring sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

Flower Ring was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.

Back Rose sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Back Rose was still in the lead after 1500m.

Back Rose was still in the lead after 2000m.

Back Rose showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Finagles First Law was first on the homestretch followed by Flower Ring and Back Rose.

Finagles First Law didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
