The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Sodankylä today.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sunday Maid could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Waitress quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Tricky Meadow sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Tricky Meadow followed by Waitress and Grant Hof. Lane two Art Vandelay Pegasos followed by Muscle Rebel and Force Of Speed.

Tricky Meadow were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Tricky Meadow showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Muscle Rebel won. Waitress came in second. Sunday Maid caught third place.
