It had been raining for several days at Lieksa but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lolita On Fire could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Lolita On Fire was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.




Pietro Gambadilegno saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




The leader got disturbed by something and Smiling Nutcracker took the lead rather easily.




Smiling Nutcracker was still in the lead after 1500m.



Smiling Nutcracker looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Smiling Nutcracker to trotting so they were disqualified.




Airstrike sprinted over the finishline before Guardian Legend and Lolita On Fire.
