One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Merci Beaucoup could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Merci Beaucoup was in fine shape and held the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Merci Beaucoup galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.




Merci Beaucoup was still in the lead after 1500m.



Rolling Heat suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Merci Beaucoup never caught up with Rolling Heat who won. Mad Twister came third.
