One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Pretty Meadow tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Big Thrasher that came steaming ahead.




Famous Winter was in fine shape and held the lead. Pointing Passion was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




Happy Thinking looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Mad Vanilla couldn't come out from behind the leader, Powerful Moon.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Happy Thinking followed by Mad Vanilla and Jumping Brightness. Lane two Pretty Meadow followed by Big Thrasher and Powerful Moon.



Pretty Meadow were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Happy Thinking galoped way to long and was disqualified.




Mad Vanilla didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
