The weather had been good all week and Eskilstuna was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sim Can E C took the lead after a very quick start. Breaking Grove showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




This is the positions after 500m. Nuncio, Sim Can E C, Perfect Mambo, Dreaming Pirate, Opmerkelijk, Thinking Tank, Eau Du Cologne, Shy Judge.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Sim Can E C suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.




Opmerkelijk saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.



Perfect Mambo was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Opmerkelijk kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






No-one could catch Opmerkelijk today who won before Sim Can E C and Nuncio.
