It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Networq could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Swing Vote sprinted to the front.




Sleepy Wave sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sleepy Wave followed by Waste In Space and Swing Vote. Lane two Funky Autumn followed by Tricky Gold and Networq.



Funky Autumn was first on the homestretch followed by Waste In Space and Tricky Gold.






Waste In Space won the race after a spectacular finish.
