One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Wapakoneta Man sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Lauréat sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Opposing Jewel galloped way to long and was disqualified.




Wapakoneta Man accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Lauréat suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Lauréat didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
