It had been raining for several days at Eskilstuna but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Fighting Plan was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. driver couldn't keep Mad Baby to trotting so they were disqualified. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Swedish Gas sprinted to the front. Gotagun sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.
