One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Wolly Breath tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Sabba that came steaming ahead.




Turning Thinker quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Toronto Maiden who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Sabba sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Seductive Satellite galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sabba followed by Running Tank and Bible Reader. Lane two Wolly Breath followed by Turning Thinker and Toronto Maiden. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Sabba gallopped for 10 m.




Sabba was still in the lead after 2000m.



With only a little left of the race Wolly Breath galoped for 10 m. Sabba sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






No-one could catch Sabba today who won before Wolly Breath and Turning Thinker.
