It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Holy Nova. Trinity ended up behind the leader. Vont got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. Est Ouest, Vont, Lone Strategy, Lord Winter, Holy Nova, Selezionato, Front Hero, Platinum Muscle. A bird flew just in front of Trinity who started to galop and lost 50 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Est Ouest followed by Holy Nova and Vont. Lane two Lone Strategy followed by Selezionato and Front Hero. Trinity started to gallop after 1500m and Per Berg Thomsen had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

With only a little left of the race Punching Bear galoped for 40 m. Lone Strategy was first on the homestretch followed by Selezionato and Holy Nova.

Final standings. 1 Selezionato, 2 Lone Strategy, 3 Holy Nova.
