One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Heureux could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Heureux was in fine shape and held the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Gorgeous Tropic suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




The Hunter was still in the lead after 1500m.




Gorgeous Tropic was still in the lead after 2000m. The Hunter was disturbed and gallopped for 10 m. Handy Scout gallopped 50 m after 2000m.



Gorgeous Tropic looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Heureux never caught up with Gorgeous Tropic who won. The Hunter came third.
