One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sim Can E C found a gap and took the lead. Electric Baby followed before Lonely Wonder.

This is the positions after 500m. Sad Dreamcatcher, Lacombe Lucien, Sweet Thunder, Cute Bouquet, Sim Can E C, Convicted By Law, Whatever Tropic, Lonely Wonder. Criminal Twister was disturbed and galoped 30 m.

Sweet Thunder took the lead after 1000m. Sim Can E C didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Lacombe Lucien showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Sweet Thunder today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Knight Of Paris gallopped for 40 m.

Sweet Thunder didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Whatever Tropic gallopped 50 m after 2000m.

Sweet Thunder kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Sim Can E C sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
