One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Flying Detroit. Ross Hof ended up behind the leader. Troubling Moonlight got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Ross Hof quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Troubling Moonlight who started to galop and lost 30 m.




Ross Hof was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Ross Hof was still in the lead after 1500m.



Sur La Planche was first on the homestretch followed by Flying Detroit and Ross Hof.






No-one could catch Sur La Planche today who won before Ross Hof and Flying Detroit.
