One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Focused Mountain could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Rocking Bear saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Rapid Transit was disturbed and galoped 40 m.




Rocking Bear clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Rocking Bear followed by Focused Mountain and Calming Comet. Lane two Gold Hot Shot followed by Flower Tropic and Frangelico.



Focused Mountain was first on the homestretch followed by Gold Hot Shot and Flower Tropic.






Flower Tropic sprinted over the finishline before Gold Hot Shot and Focused Mountain.
