Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Lonely Wonder found a gap and took the lead. Hot Steam followed before Strong Satellite. Lonely Wonder was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m. Maximum Mustache galloped way to long and was disqualified.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Prince Space sprinted to the front.

Lonely Wonder took the lead after 1000m. Hot Steam didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Lonely Wonder followed by Criminal Steel and Prince Space. Lane two Strong Satellite followed by Hot Steam and Frozen Beard.

Strong Satellite litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Strong Satellite didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
