Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Halmstad track was in top-condition.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Barefoot Moonlight.
Ticking Fabric ended up behind the leader.
Brave Mustache got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Brave Mustache started to galop and lost 10 m.
Barefoot Moonlight was in fine shape and held the lead.
Brave Mustache started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
Ticking Fabric looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Brave Mustache couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Barefoot Moonlight.
Barefoot Moonlight suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.
Ticking Fabric accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Ticking Fabric galloped for 60m and was disqualified. With only a little left of the race
Brave Mustache galoped for 10 m.
Barefoot Moonlight litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.
Linda Allercrantz tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Ticking Fabric started to galopp and lost 10 m.
Barefoot Moonlight kept the speed the whole finish and won before
Brave Mustache and
Sophisticated Velvet.
