The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Vaasa this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Moonlight Maid found a gap and took the lead. Playing Needle followed before Sleepy Stardust.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Moonlight Maid accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Moonlight Maid looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Sleepy Stardust galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.




Barefoot Rocket sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
