The sun was shining on Kouvola and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Grant Hof was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Secret Midget quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Grant Hof looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Frangelico couldn't come out from behind the leader, Secret Midget.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Secret Midget followed by Grant Hof and Steel Boy. Lane two Frangelico followed by Advanced Mind and Radiating Moon. Radiating Moon galloped for 20 m.




Grant Hof suddenly took over the lead. Frangelico gallopped 20 m after 2000m.



Grant Hof kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






No-one could catch Grant Hof today who won before Advanced Mind and Secret Midget.
