Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Solvalla track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Lacoste tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Beautiful Top that came steaming ahead.

Lödder quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Lödder was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Blossoming Crystal suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Lacoste accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Lödder was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Power Missile showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. With only a little left of the race Russian Gold galoped for 10 m. Beautiful Top litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Lacoste won. Beautiful Top came in second. Tricky Mambo caught third place.
