One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Howler Cherry found a gap and took the lead. Close Arraow followed before Semper Fi. Åke Sundberg wanted a little to much in the start and Purple Cookie galoped for 50 m.




Give Me Way saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Purple Cookie took the lead after 1000m. Howler Cherry didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Purple Cookie followed by Howler Cherry and Close Arraow. Lane two Sturmkönig followed by Semper Fi and Lou Kronos. Puissance De Royaume galloped for 60m and was disqualified.



Howler Cherry suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Sturmkönig won. Close Arraow came in second. Purple Cookie caught third place.
