One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Whatever Tropic was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Filip Lejon wanted a little to much in the start and Whatever Tropic galoped for 20 m.
The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.
Fierceful Ship looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Zwarte Magica couldn't come out from behind the leader, Whatever Tropic. Diehard Rebel suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.
Fierceful Ship saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.
Fierceful Ship sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
