The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åmål this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sleepy Cherry could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Steel Boy quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Maximum Missile sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Monday Velvet looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Edran Spyder started to gallop after 1500m and Jan Hultman had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Monday Velvet didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Sleepy Cherry gallopped 40 m after 2000m.




Monday Velvet seemed to be in good shape this day and continued in the lead.



With only a little left of the race Steel Boy galoped for 40 m. Monday Velvet looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Winner of todays race was Monday Velvet. Arddull Herciog came in second. Sleepy Cherry became third.
