One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Shrimpshrinker took the lead after a very quick start. Tripping Wonder showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.

This is the positions after 500m. Big Collector, Striking Gal, Arctic Fever, Murphy´s Law, Shrimpshrinker, Marquise Amo, Wandering Grove, Radiating Rhapsody. Big Collector started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Striking Gal looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Marquise Amo couldn't come out from behind the leader, Big Collector. Quipelo galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Big Collector today. It continued in the lead. Arctic Fever galloped for 50 m. Quipelo started to gallop after 1500m and Olav Mikkelborg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Big Collector looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Gunnar Eggen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Wandering Grove started to galopp and lost 40 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Quipelo galop. Quipelo lost 40 m.

Final standings. 1 Shrimpshrinker, 2 Marquise Amo, 3 Big Collector.
