Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Fair Wonder took the lead after a very quick start.




Flickering Hollywood saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Little Drummer Boy started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Turning Diamond who started to galop and lost 10 m.




Gorgeous Wardrobe looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Almere Haven couldn't come out from behind the leader, Flickering Hollywood. Gold Ginger Whirlwind galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Flickering Hollywood today. It continued in the lead. Frozen Garden galloped for 20 m.




Gorgeous Wardrobe put some pressure on the leader and could take over.



Fair Wonder suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Frozen Garden galoped way to long and was disqualified. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Gorgeous Wardrobe galop. Gorgeous Wardrobe lost 20 m.




Turning Diamond won. Blue Rose Belinda came in second. Gold Ginger Whirlwind caught third place.
