The sun was shining on Gävle and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Spongebob Squarepants took the lead after a very quick start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Spongebob Squarepants followed by Typhoon and Poker Med Revolver Cherry. Lane two Oliwer Pegasos followed by Åsa-nisse and Imperatore Vox.



Spongebob Squarepants kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Åsa-nisse won the race after a spectacular finish.
