It had been raining for several days at Årjäng but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Running Action tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Viale Di Poggio that came steaming ahead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Crossing Lady sprinted to the front. Viale Di Poggio started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
