One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Playing Red could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Polnareff saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Polnareff was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Polnareff followed by Strong Ship and Hell Patrol. Lane two Sweet Tigress followed by Playing Red and Stepping Madame.



Strong Ship litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Hell Patrol won the race after a spectacular finish.
