One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Heavy Box found a gap and took the lead. Evil Jagg followed before Strong Mustache.

Heavy Box was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. A bird flew just in front of Strong Mustache who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Heavy Box clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Heavy Box followed by Cowboy Wannabe and Toulouse. Lane two Evil Jagg followed by Strong Mustache and Aggressive Action.

Heavy Box sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

Evil Jagg speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Heavy Box won the race after a spectacular finish.
