The weather had been good all week and Bollnäs was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Totti Tango found a gap and took the lead. Nebelwerfer Larockma followed before Vedar Gal Cherry. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Nebelwerfer Larockma sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Nebelwerfer Larockma who started to galop and lost 10 m. The leader got disturbed by something and Slim Pickings Cherry took the lead rather easily. Forceful Runner was disturbed and galopped for 30 m.
